SUSTAINABILITY
STATEMENT
ENABLING LIFE IN FORWARD MOTION THAT IS EFFORTLESS & SUSTAINABLE
–
As 50% of public space is taken up by roads and 25% of total GHG emissions in Europe come from transportation, while 85% of urban driving is done by just one person driving a five-seat car, it is clear that the transportation system is unsustainable. With CityTransformer, you can do more with less. With close to 70% of the world’s population living in urban areas, we need to respect our space. As the world’s resources are limited, we need to be careful about how we use them.
HELPING CITIES DETOX TRANSPORTATION
2 X
MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT
As the CT vehicle is significantly lighter, the battery, chassis, and body would require a reduced amount of energy, as well as a much smaller number of materials.
~ 75 %
LESS WEIGHT AND FOOTPRINT
Our main effort is to reduce the vehicle’s weight, so it would require less energy. Weight reduction is achieved mostly by making the vehicle as small as possible, but also by using lighter material, and eliminating all unnecessary parts.
~ 70 %
LESS BATTERY WEIGHT
In general, electric vehicles require six times more minerals. Energy-intensive mining pollutes soil, water, and air. 13 million tons of batteries will be obsolete by 2030. Powered by a small battery and born-to-share technology, City Transformer significantly positively impacts these issues.
OUR IMPACT IN NUMBERS
–
1,000 CTs VS. 1,000 EVs
WEIGHT
1,000 AVERAGE EV = 2,000,000KG
1,000 CT VEHICLES = 500,000KG
CT CAN REDUCE 1,500,000
KG
This is equal to 300 elephants
SPACE
1,000 AVERAGE EV = 10,000SQM
1,000 CT VEHICLES = 2,500SQM
CT CAN REDUCE 7,500
SQM
This is equal to Kungsträdgården,
Stockholm
EMISSIONS
1,000 AVERAGE EV = 2,300T
1,000 CT VEHICLES = 1,100T
CT CAN REDUCE 1,200T
YEARLY
This is equal to 40 whales
